We had a lovely Christmas with our family. We missed Grandma, Ian, Shannon and the boys of course but it was really nice. We were able to ichat with them so we got to see and talk with them. We also called and got to talk with my Mom and Dad and everyone in the house hold there.
Ivy was such a good little girl she had a good nap and got most of the presents. Aly and Ryan brought Benson over and he was really good too. We had great dinner and played games with Emilee's new scrabble board. Believe it or not Eli won!

Here are 2 different lighting views of our beautiful fat tree. We love it. Hope you are all enjoying your holiday preparations.
Wish we could see all of you.
Our hearts, thoughts and love are with you.
Love Jim and Den

Does This Tree Make Me Look Skinny?

Jim has had his eye on this tree for months. We figure since the nest is empty why not fill the space with a big fat fragrant tree. We looked like Laurel and Hardy getting it through the door. Now that it is up, decorated and filling the house with it's lovely pine freshness it is gorgeous but look above
and you be the judge on the gorgeousness and stop by and get a whiff.....

Thankful for DSL!

Believe it or dont I am sitting at grandpa Squire's computer getting ready to post this comment via his new DSL internet connection. We got him all set up and connected last night. We are now truely blessed to leave the world of dial-up behind us.

Seriously, Den and I are so thankful for the wonderful family and friends we enjoy. Though the nest is recently empty we smile as we watch our children and their spouses and kids or pets embark on their journeys together. We think you all have made great choices!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day today and takes the time to reflect on the blessings our family and your families have received....

Den's Favorite Birthday Present

We had a nice birthday dinner for Denny last Sunday with Eli, Emilee,Ivy and Aly. We missed Ryan but are looking forward to going out with him and Aly to see Blindside this weekend. The best part of the birthday was that Ivy was willing to let both grandma and grandpa hold her and be happy about it for quite a while. Yipee!! Of course it could have been because she was feeling a little sick like her poor mommy, but we will take cuddles however we can get them.

Our Little Gems

One of our favorite shots of us and our three grandchildren, taken the weekend of Aly and Ryan's wedding. What a joy it is to see the kids with their kids....So Eli is quickly starting to understand how easy it is for a daddy to be wrapped around a little girl's finger.....and it just doesn't get anymore rewarding than walking into Ian and Shannon's kitchen and finding one of the boys in the same "nose in the corner" pose that Ian became familiar with as a young lad.
